Hi, I’m Taylore estep
I’m a wife, a mama to a whole bunch of sweet kiddos, & a licensed certified professional midwife. Midwifery is my calling, & babies are always a miracle. You’ll find me loving on all mine when I’m not loving on clients.
I received my training here in Tennessee from one of the wisest, most experienced midwives in the state. I have had the pleasure & honor of training with & learning from various midwives & mentors.
I hold my CPM-TN & maintain Neonatal Resuscitation & CPR/BLS; as well as continuing education & trainings which include: Twins & Breech with Stuart Fischbein, Rixa Freeze, & others, Resolving Shoulder Dystocia with Gail Tully, Stick Em’ Up- IV Therapy, Cultural Awareness from Mercy In Action College of Midwifery, Suturing & OASIS Repair from Midwife CE, & various courses & trainings from Midwifery Wisdom Collective—As well as continuing to take courses & attend conferences & trainings.
My Approach
If autonomy & accountability are your jam…. we’re a dream team. I believe in every mother’s right & ability to birth their baby on their terms. My job is to provide mothers with all the available information & then allow THEM to make the decision that is right for them. My job is to guide mother’s & let them know where the safety boundary is, & my hope is always to have a trusting midwife/client relationship that clients always know they can trust my judgement while also knowing I will always respect their decisions & rights as a mother.
2 Fold Approach
Accountability
Every mother has to make the decision to hold herself accountable for what she chooses. This can include things like nutrition, exercise, stress levels, emotional/mental health needs, testing/screenings, etc. I can provide all the information, but each mother is accountable to make fully informed decisions.
Functional
The body & the way it functions, is unique to each mother & baby. Every pregnancy has variations. Knowing this, I approach each mother & her pregnancy with a total body view. For instance: what is a mother’s nutrition like, what supplements may be helpful/what supplements may be detrimental, how much physical activity is happening, how is a mother’s hormone balance, & what other lifestyle factors may be playing a role in the mother’s & her baby’s health?
